Archibald Beatty his eldest son, and George Beatty his 2nd son (he was buried at Killeshandra 24 Dec. 1770). He m. 1stly (Kilmore M. L. 1729) Margaret sister of John McVitty of Cartons, Co. Longford, High Sheriff Co. Longford 1773, by whom he had issue 4 sons & 3 daus:
I. Archibald Beatty d.s.p. in 1772 [Archibald Beatty of psh Castlepollard, Co. Westmeath buried at Killashandra (?) 9 May 1772.
II. GEORGE BEATTY, of whom presently.
III. William Beatty, d.s.p. before 1805.
IV. John Beatty, d.s.p. before 1805 (He m. (M. L. 28 Jan. 1770) Jane Canon? & d.s.p. before Sept. 1796); he was a legatee of his kinsman John Nicholson of Cloncaulfield, Co. Longford, whose will was dated 19 Oct. 1763. [Marginal note by PC—Apptly of Beahelors Way (??) Dub 1773.]
I. [ _____] Beatty m. before 1770 to Francis Beatty of Drumrusk [Drumroosk?], Co. Cavan & had a son Edward.
II. [_____] Beatty m. Francis Moore of Benbrusnagh, Co. Westmeath & had a son Claudius Moore bapt. 1763.
III. [_____] Beatty.

Claudius Beatty m. 2ndly and had further issue two sons and one dau:---
V. Claud Beatty, of Woteraughey [Woteraghy], parish of Ballintemple, Co. Cavan, b. abt 1749, m. at Killashandra 12 Feb. 1771, Jane, dau of Simon Nicholls of Shancor, Co. Cavan, and was buried at Killashandra May or June 1779, admon gtd to his widow Jane 25 Sept. 1779. He had at least one son and two daus (the latter legatees of their uncle George) viz:
1. Claud Beatty, d. in infancy buried at Killashandra 2 June 1774
1. Elizabeth m. between Sept. 1809 & May 1810 Francis Beatty [An additional note by Crossle to faded to read].
2. Margaret Beatty, m [_____] Davis.
VI. Robert Beatty of Corry, Co. Longford, b. about 1751, m. before July 1808 at which date his son was grown up viz:
Claudius Beatty m. before July 1806 ? (very faded)
IV. Elizabeth Beatty.

The second son of Claudius Beatty & Margaret McVitty was: --
GEORGE BEATTY, of Lismoy, Co. Longford, b. about 1730, m. firstly his second cousin Mary, dau. of Wm. Beatty and had at least two sons and two daus all the children probably by first marriage. He m. secondly 30 Nov. 1775, at Longford Mary St. Mansio and died Feb. 1805, aged 75; will dated 8 Dec. 1804, proved dio. Ardagh, 22 March 1806. His children were
I. Robert Beatty of Watery, Co. Cavan, m. (Clogher M. L. 7 Oct. 1775) his kinswoman Anne, eldest dau. of Hugh Rosbrough, of Mullinagoon, Co. Fermanagh, by his first wife Margaret, dau. of John Nicholson of Cloncaulfield House, Co. Longford. [There is a marginal note by PC that is unreadable in my copy of the document. The Robert Beatty entry appears to be crossed out –LTB]
II. John Beatty, b. in Co. Longford abt 1763,, ed. By Mr. Kenny, entered T. C. D. 3 Nov. 1777 age 16. [The numeral II is crossed out and I written over it. –LTB]
I. Frances Beatty, m. McVitty Moore of Cartrons, Co. Longford & had issue:
1.    John McVitty Moore

1.    Anne Moore m. Claudius Beatty of Corry

II. Elizabeth Beatty, m. Francis West of Cloone and had issue:
1.    George Beatty West.
