The third son of Robert Beatty and Anne Metge was: --
ROBERT BEATTY, of Springtown, Co. Longford, m. Eleanor Thompson and died will dated 20 April 1760, pr. Prerog. 30 May 1769, having had by her (who m. 2ndly Rev. John Beatty, B. A., Vicar of Garvaghy, dio. Dromore) one son and 3 daus: --

II. Jane Beatty, m. at Garvaghy [m. l. 20 Jan. 1798, see p. 279] Edward Beatty, son of Arthur Beatty of Scrabby, Co. Cavan, by Frances, dau. of Samuel Anderson of Cootehill.
III. Martha Beatty, d. unm.

The son of Robert Beatty and Eleanor Thompson was:---
ROBERT BEATTY, of Spring Park, Co. Longford, m. Elizabeth Mary, dau. of Daniel MacNeale, of Strandfield, Co. Down, and by her who d. at Faughart Cottage, near Dundalk, 2 July 1844, aged 81, had at least three sons (order of age uncertain): --
I. PAKENHAM, of whom presently.
II. Daniel MacNeale Beatty, Lieut R. N. 16 Sept. 1816, half pay 1828, m. at the Carran of Larne, 20 Aug. 1829, Jane dau. of Charles Dawson Stewart. She d. at Hillmount, near Larne, 21 Sept. 1874, in her 71st year.
III. William Thompson Beatty, b. abt. 1802, d. 13 Oct. 1823 aged 21.
IV. John not in his mother’s will 1844.

The son of Robert Beatty and Mary MacNeale was: --
PAKENHAM BEATTY, of Carrickaneena, Mountpleasant, Co. Louth and Gardiner’s Place, Dublin, Licentrate apothecary, b. abt. 1792, m. 1814 Anne Holmes, grand dau of Daniel MacNeale of Ballymascanlan and d. 1 March 1877, aged 85, having had by her, who d. 7 July 1862, aged 73, an eldest and at least 2 other sons and 5 daus: --
I. Robert MacNeale Beatty, d. 12 Sept. 1843 aged 28.
II. PAKENHAM WILLIAM, of whom presently.
III James MacNeale Beatty, M. R. C. S. J., Hon. Brigade Surgeon A. M. S. (1st commission 1854) m. at St. Thomas’s Dublin, 24 Feb. 1870, Margaret Eliza 2nd Dau. of John Black, J. P. of Aughnaskea, Co. Louth, and Ann his wife, and sister to James Woulfe MacNeale Black. She d. 4 Sept. 1873 (?1878) buried at Ballymascanlan.
I. Elizabeth Mary Beatty, m. at Ballymascanlon 10 April 1844, Francis Scott of Dundalk and d. 3 Feb. 1850 age 34. He d. 20 Sept. 1892 age 82.
II. Isabella Beatty, d. 24 Dec. 1878, aged 60.
III. Mary Jane Beatty, m. 1854, Philip Skelton of Highlands, Dundalk, and d. his widow 24 Nov. 1868.
