Richard Moorhead & Barbara Moorhead otherwise Campbell otherwise Carson, his wife, both of Killashandra, Co. Cavan, & Richard Young of Drumgoon Co. Cavan, Gent. (inserted instead of Wm. Faris) show that the Rev. George Carson, late of Croghan, Co. Cavan, your supplt Barbara’s father, had considerable estates & in or previous to 1782 made his will. He left his estate to his son Thomas Carson, subject to payment of legacies, John Faris of Cavan, Thomas Faris of Cavan & his son Thomas Carson his exrs. The said Rev. George Carson died shortly afterwards, leaving ___ Carson his widow, who is since deceased, Jane Beatty other wise Carson, the widow of John Beatty deceased, Mary Patterson, otherwise Carson, the wife of Henry Patterson & Anne Carson, spinster, together with your supplt. Barbara & the said Thomas Carson his children. Your supplts Richard & Barbara intermarried in 1787. Her first husband, Edward Campbell, from whom she had separated, died in 1784. Articles of marriage duly executed by said Thomas Carson & Richard Hassard & Jane Hassard his daughter, now the wife of the said Thomas & the said John Faris & Jason Hassard, bearing date 7 June 1782.
[Note: There seems to be no doubt that this Jane was the wife of John Beatty, brother of George of Lismoy & son of Claudius, which John was survived by his wife Jane. See extracts from Reg. of Deeds, where T. Carson appears also.]

Marriage license Robert Beatty of the parish of Granard, Co. Longford, Gent., & Anne Metge of the parish of St. Michael’s, Dublin, spr. To be married there dated 23 June 1737.
[St. Michael’s registers are in P. R. O. not to be confused with St. Michan’s]

Dublin Mar. Lic. Dated 7 April 1774 between George Nixon of Lurgan, Co. Cavan, Esq. & Ellinor Beatty of par. of St. Mary’s Dublin (they were married there 14 April 1774)
