Amended 17 Nov. 1742 by adding parties. Very many answers not looked at including 26 April 1743 Pack’m, John & Robert Beatty answer jointly. 3 May 1743 Anne, Charles and Robert Beatty, Burrows and wife, Anne McCally, John Beatty the younger etc. etc.

John Brock, of Kilpatrick, Co. Westmeath, sheweth that John Beaty, late of Springtown, Co. Longford, was possessed of considerable property, including the lands of Troumrah, Co. Westmeath. John Beaty died 3 May, 1729, intestate, leaving issue five sons and three daughters, namely Pakenham, Charles, John, Robert, Henry, Anna, Martha and Isabella and Ann Beaty his widow. Isabella hath lately died unmarried about 18 years and upwards. Your orator on 4 Sept. 1730 intermarried with Ann Beaty one of the daughters of the said John. Claud Beaty, the brother of said John, Ann McCally, otherwise Gordon, niece of Isabella, Claud Beaty’s widow. Your supplt’s wife departed this life 2 January last leaving three daus. Alexander Burrowes who intermarried with the said Martha Beaty. [Note for John & Catherine, children of Henry, see Chancery Bill, Fleming v. Dawson, 6 April, 1742.]
[Note. Will, diocese of Ardagh, Pakenham Beatty, late of Wexford, Esq., Sister Martha Burrowes, otherwise Beatty, wife of Alexander Burrowes, of Ranaham. To be buried in the churchyard of Abbylarah. Dated 13 July, 1759, proved 25 Feb. 1761. He was collector of Wexford & the link with the late Beattys of Co. Wexford is not likely to be here.]

Bill amended 23 May 1748 by order of 17th ditto. Ans. E. V. B. 4 June 1748. Repl. 14 June 1748

Phillip Emor, of the city of Dublin, gent., states that Charles Beatty of the city of Dublin, gent, borrowed £600 from plaintiff in 1743 to secure payment of which he executed deeds of mortgage dated 28 & 29 July 1743 making the said £600 a charge on the lands of Aghakine containing 1 ¾ cartrons situated in the Barony of Granard, Co. Longford of which Beatty was seized in fee, which lands had formerly been possessed by Thomas Cruise. Charles Beatty died in May 1747, intestate, leaving Eyre Vernon Beatty his only son and heir & administration of his goods was granted out of the Prerogative Court to his brother Robert Beatty, of Springtown Co. Longford, Gent. in trust for the said minor son. Money not paid.

P. E. of City of Dublin, gent., sets out his bill of 22 June 1747 against E. V. B. etc. To which bill RB & EVB answered, Plt repl. & defts rej. But before any further proceedings were had Eyre Vernon Beatty died without issue leaving Maria B, Charlotte Ann B. Harriett B. & Frances B. his sisters & only surviving issue of sd Charles B. & all minors. Plaintiff’s suit by the death of EVB has become abated & he prays it may be rev. against the sisters. [Note EVB’s ans. 4 June 1748. This Bill of review(?) 2 Jan following. He died between.]
