to enjoy said lands equally except as hereafter mentioned.

I give Aghnaclogh farm to my said wife and her children if she and they by their industry and good management will be able to pay the rent of it;  if not part of it to be set by the advice of my executors and the profi thereof to my wife for her and the children till my sons Samuel and Thomas are 21.

All my goods and chattels in Aghnaclogh to be valued by inventory and to be left with said wife for my children when of age;  she to see them "vertuously educated" and they all to live together in Aghnaclogh till my sons Samuel and Thomas have a right to same as before mentioned. And if my wife chooses to go to the lands of Tattyreagh to dwell there she shall have a house, a cow's grass and barrel of half shelling yearly and ground yearly sown with a peck of flax seed and 4 bushels of potatoes all set free of rent in Tattyreagh for her life if she so long continue my widow and my lease so long continue, and if she marry another man she shall not enjoy the legacy;  also to my said wife an equal proportion of my goods and chattels in the lands of Aghnaclogh.

Should any of my children misbehave I order such one to pay my executors for the care of the other children who do behave the sum of 200 pounds.

I appoint John Gourly of Cullentry, Joseph Lendrum of Rainally, and my brother William Beaty of Aghaclogh, to be executors.

On 15 August 1766 John Gourly, Joseph Lendrum and William Beatty the executors swore to execute before Thomas Hastings, V.S.
Indorsed: "The last Will and Testament of James Beaty late of Aughnaclough  in the parish and diocese of Clogher deceased dated July 31st 1766."

Clogher Will:

118  Adam Betty gentleman of Drumcreen or Drumcrum or Drumcreem, barony of Lurg, county Fermanagh, gentleman. To be buried in my burying place in the church yard of Tempell Maghery. To my loving wife 8 cows that is about the house and their plowers? and 2 black mares and 6 sheep and my household furniture.

To my son-in-law John Betty the remainder of his portion which I think is about 37 pounds and I order it to be paid the first money (only there is 1-2/- pounds of same already paid [this in later writing])

To my loving daughter Cathren Betty 50 pounds for her portion and it to be paid after John Betty's is paid and I also allow her 10 pounds more if
