PLT. not having the money was forced so to do and delivered the lease to Johnston to be returned when PLT. paid the 6 pounds.  That PlT had in said house the articles set forth in the schedule attached here to [what is a long list of house hold goods to the value of 19 to 91 pounds] but now Hugh Bowen covetting said house after PLT’s improvements therein and combining with James Johnston, Edward Dowdall, Adam Swift, Francis Cahill, William Freisby, and William Grummeone, he Hugh Bowen having got the lease from Johnston have in a riotores manner broken into said house last June and seized PLTs. Goods under colour of arrear of rent although no rent is due and if due would be paid on the fair day of Mullengarr following. Viz: on 24 June at which time all the tenants of Mullengarr town pay their rents.  That Bowen coveting the house has withheld same from PLT and further to perplex PLT refused to give to PLT or his wife an inventory of his goods or to deliver same to PLT’s wife although he promised her so to do.  That not withstanding PLT. sent Bowen 5 pounds which he received he yet detains the goods.  That PLT was offered 30 pounds for his interest in the house which he refused, and also Bowen had sent his clerk or servant, said Swift to ask PLT if PLT would part with his interest in the house which PLT. refused and thereupon Swift told PLT. Bowen would never let PLT keep possession of the premises because Bowen had let same to said Dowdall who now actually dwelt therein and keeps an Inn.  That Bowen caused PLT. to be detained for license money till Easter next “after turning your orator and family out of ye premises” and does now detain PLT in person these 12 months for a bargain he never enjoyed and has seized PLTs. Goods for alleged arrear of rent although PLT owes him nothing.  Prays that writs may be granted against Hugh Bowen, James Johnston, Adam Swift, Edward Dowdall, Francis Cahill, William Freisby and William Grunnion to answer in the premises.
