April 27, 1732. [copy of deed very dark and hard to read] Francis Hamilton late of Castle Hamilton, Co. Cavan “being seized in fee of the Manor of Letterkenny in the county of Donegal did by his last will and testament…bequeath to his niece Anne Edgeworth alias Cecill (?) late deceased, wife of John Edgeworth who is a son and Administrator of Henry Edgeworth deceased”, the sum of £500. Previous to the marriage with Henry Edgeworth (sic, Ann is shown as both wife of John and wife of Henry) Ann Cecill’s fortune had been £2000, of which the £500 was part; Ann Edgeworth’s fortune was to be paid to Henry Edgeworth, father of Henry Edgeworth the younger. Henry Edgeworth the father by deed dated Sept. 15, 1716 was paid £2000 by Arthur nephew of Frances Hamilton and this £2000 was to be settled on Ann Cecill. Henry Edgeworth the father by his last will and testament bequeathed the sum of £500 to his daughter Elizabeth Edgeworth Beatty. Henry Edgeworth as administrator of his father assigned £500 to Charles Beatty and his wife Elizabeth Edgeworth £500 out of the lands of Letterkenny, that had been the trust held for Ann Cecill Edgeworth. Charles Beaty and wife Elizabeth now transfer this £500 interest in the lands of Letterkenny to Mathew Young.
