November 5, 1731. Lease between Charles Beatty of Farranseer, Co. Cavan, Esq. of the 1st part and Dunbar Bate of the city of Dublin, gent of the other part. Release between Charles Beatty of the 1st part and Richard Edgeworth of Edgeworthtown, Co. Longford of the 2nd part and the said Dunbar Bate of the 3rd part. Charles Beatty granted to John Dunbar Bate “all his the said Charles Beatys moiety or one half of the towne and lands of Lackan situate lying and being in the county of Longford with the apre’s devised & bequeathed to him by the last Will and Testament of his father John Beaty…grant of reversion thereof made by Sir John Edgeworth Kn’t dec’d to the said John Beaty dec’d.” Witnesses: Edward Sterling Clke to Edward Dalton of the city of Dublin, Notary Pub’k & by Nath’l Smith of the same city, merchant. Registered Nov. 6, 1731.
