October 12, 1782. [This is a very complicated deed with multiple mentions of property and a Marriage Settlement.] Edward Beatty, of the City of Dublin, Merchant of the first part, David Beatty, of Dublin, merchant of the 2nd part; Olivia Maria Bell of Dublin, spinster of the 3rd part and Robt. Hardiman of Loughrea, Co. of Galway & Thomas Trulock of Dublin of the 4th part. James Martin granted a lease of land in Dublin to Edward Beatty in 1770, formerly in the possession of Moses Verney; the lease of land was for 16 years. Edward Beatty also leased some land in Tallagh, County of Dublin from ?? Weld; these lands adjoined the house of the widow Reilly. The city of Dublin leased some land to Thomas Trulock & Edward Beatty for the lives of Edward Beatty, Thomas Trulock & Thomas Myler; this land adjoined St. Andrew's Street and other land was leased to Edward Beatty by the City of Dublin, all described in this deed. "reciting that the said Edward Beatty had since Erected & built several substantial Dwelling Houses & made other valuable improvements thereon and reciting that a Marriage was shortly intended by the Grace of God to be solemnized between the said David Beatty & the said Olivia Maria Bell by which said deed the said Edward Beatty for the considerations therein mentioned did grant release and confirm unto the Robert Hardiman & Thomas Trulock all that and those the before recited Ground Houses and tenements…in trust & lot for the s'd uses Intents and purposes in said deed [As far as I can tell these uses are not made clear, but I assume the land is held in trust for the wife and issue of David Beatty--LTB].
