February 12, 1761; between Peter Beatty of Coolarty Co. Longford and Simon McCally of Willsbrook, Co. Longford. Peter Beatty demised to Simon McCally “the town and lands of Muckerstaff with the appurtenances situate in the Barony of Granard and County aforesaid.” Lease “during the natural lives of said Simon McCally, William Wright second son of James Wright of Cavagh and Thomas Jessup younger son of Thomas Jessup of Mount Jessop with a clause of renewal for a fourth life or thirty one years which ever should last longest at the yearly rent of nine shillings an acre to be paid by equal portions the first payment thereof to be made on the twenty ninth of September then next. It was agreed by said articles that said Simon McCally’s lease was not to commence for that part of said lands of Muckerstaff then in the occupation of Robert Beatty brother to said Peter ‘till the twenty fifth of March one thousand seven hundred and sixty three..” witnesses: John Brady of Willsbrook and Bryan Mogonnol of Coolarty, yeomen of Co.
