September 3, 1760, between Peter Beatty of Coolarty in the Count of Longford, Esq. & Peter Thompson of Clonfin, Co. Longford, gent. Peter Beatty sells to Peter Thompson “all that part of the lands of Tonywarden then in his possession commonly called Ballinhowe cont’g seventy two acres and one rood tog’r with the Meadow Field joining Thomas Ferrals pt of sd lands & opposite the high road leading from the lands of Irish Hill to Castle Nugent cont’g six acres two roods & nine perches situate, lying & being in the parish of Granard & Co. of Longford…” Lease for the lives of “said Peter Thompson and of Henry Thompson & Wm. Thompson brothers of the sd Peter Thompson.” Yearly rent of £31. Witnesses: Bryan Miginnell & Robt. Beatty, both of Coolarty, Co. Longford. Memorial witnessed by Philip Echlin, of Navan, Co. Meath.
