A Memorial [several words obscured by dark spots] bearing date the seventeenth day of Jan. One thousand [several words obscured] between Hugh Beaty of Aughonleck in the Parish of [several words obscured, Aughnaleck is in Annahilt parish, county Down] farmer of the one part and Rich’d Beaty of the Townland of [several word obscured] Parish of Hillsborough and County of Down of the other part [several words obscured] reciting that Daniel Mussensen of Belfast merchant did by Deeds of Lease [several words obscured] of the nineteenth day of April One Thousand seven hundred & fifty three grant unto George Beaty and Hugh Dobbyn of Aughenleck aforesaid farmer one hund’d and twelve acres of s’d Townland of Aughenleck for twenty nine years from November One thousand seven hundred and fifty two at the yearly rent of forty pounds thirteen shillings Ster. and that s’d farm was afterwards divided into two equal moieties by s’d Lessee and reciting that said George is since dead and by his last will and testament bequeathed about two third parts of his moiety of s’d lease to Hugh Beaty his son then the s’d Deed witnesseth that the sd Hugh Beaty in consideration of fifty three pounds seven shillings and five pence did assign transfer and make over unto the s’d Rich’d all the profits arising from that part of s’d lands in Aughenleck then in the possession of Samuel Arnowe and Robert Gracy after payment of seven pounds fifteen shillings ster. to W Mussensen of the City of Dublin and did also further by said deed assign transfer and make over all the profit rents arising from that part of the above mentioned lands then in the possession of Samuel Gilmore, James Beggs and Wm. Quaine unto the s’d Rich’d Beaty his heirs and assigns and after that two mortgages are paid which were granted upon s’d lands by the above named George Beaty to the s’d Richard Beaty his heirs and assigns and after payment of five pounds nineteen shillings ster.to the s’d Wm. Myesden Esq. and the s’d Hugh Beaty by s’d deed did authorize and empower him the s’d Rich’d Beaty his heirs and assigns or whosoever he or they should appoint to receive s’d profit rents & Chief rent until such time as he shall be fully paid the said sum of fifty three pounds seven shillings and five pence together with lawful interest from the first day of November then last which deed poll is witnessed by William Beaty, farmer and James Mulligan, Labourer both of Ballykeel Edenagonnell in the Parish of Hillsborough and County of Down and this Memorial is witnessed by the s’d Wm. Beaty and Joseph Dickson of Dromore in s’d County of Down Gent. Rich’d Beaty (Seal) Signed and Sealed by s’d Rich’d Betay in the presence of William Beaty, Jos. Dickson.

The above named William Beaty maketh oath that he saw the above named Hugh Beaty and Rich’d Beaty both duly sign, seal and Execute the Deed poll of which the above writing is a Mem’l and that he also saw the said Rich’d Beaty sign and seal this Mem’l and that he this Deponent is a subscribing witness to said deed and this Memorial is this Deponents proper name and handwriting—William Beaty.
