August 2, 1750. Deed of Lease & Release. Mary Betty, otherwise Stephens, of Killymittan, Co. Fermanagh grants to her son Stephen Betty of Killymittan, “in consideration for the natural love & affection she the said Mary hath & bear unto the s’d Stephen Betty her son” as well as for £80, the town & lands of Gortnashannon, in parish of Kilmore, Barony of Clanmahon, Co. Cavan. Witnesses: John Betty of Killymittan, Martin Robinson of Clenaghan & John Betty of Cavanalogh, all of Co. Fermanagh. “This Memorial is witnessed by the s’d Martin Robinson & sd Jas Betty of Cavanalogh aforesaid.” Mary Betty (her mark). Registered Nov. 15, 1750. |
