May 7 & 8, 1750. Deed of Lease & Release. “Between Henry Betty of Derrykillultagh in the Co. of Antrim of the one part & Henry Betty of Lisburn in s’d Co. Gent. of the other part whereby the said Henry Betty of Derrykillulta for the consider’n of the sum of £20 18 shillings and sixpence sterling in the s’d deed of release mentioned did grant bargain sell assign release & confirm unto the s’d Henry Betty of Lisburn all that & those the Farm tenement & parcel of land called Aghacarnan cont. by Estimation Forty acres & one rood English measure be the same more or less sit. Lying & being in the parish of Ballinderry & Co. of Antrim aforesaid & all his right title Interest claim property and Dem. Of in and to the same & every part & parcel thereof to hold to the said Henry Betty of Lisburn his Heirs Exrs Admr’s & for & during the life & lives of Thos. Higginson son of Edw’d Higginson Gent. Mary Higginson daur of Edw’d Higginson of Crew both in the parish of Ballinderry and Co. Antrim & ? Higginson son of Henry Higginson of the parish of Magheragall in said Co. of Antrim the survivor of them & from the Death of such survivor for so much of the term of forty one years to be computed from the first day of November one thousand seven hundred & forty three as should remain unexpired A’ch s’d Lands & premises are derived from under the Rt Honorable Francis Lord Baron Conway of Kilultagh by virtue of a Lease to him the said Henry Betty his heirs and assigns for & during the said term and lives bearing date the tenth day of April one thousand seven hundred & forty three & the said Deeds of Lease & Release are witnessed by Francis Burden of Lisburn in the Co. of Antrim Linnen draper and John Watson of the same Gent. & this memorial is also executed by the said Henry Betty in presence of the said Frances Burden & Edmund Wilson of the City of Dublin Gent.
