September 11, 1747. Indented Deed of Lease & Release. Alexander Montgomery of Dromrolagh, Co. Monaghan, Francis Ellis of the Town & County of Monaghan, merchant, of the first part; Pakenham Beatty now of Wexford, Co. Wexford, Esq, of the 2nd part & late of Coleraine, Co. Londonderry & Mathew Young of Lahard, Co. Cavan, Gent of the third part. Alexander Montgomery & Francis Ellis, with the consent of Pakenham Beatty, demised to Mathew Young, for the sum of £32 paid to Alex. Montgomery and £634-5/5 paid to Francis Ellis, “the town and lands of Coolarty otherwise Coolaharty, Largan & Muckansagh all situate in the Manor of Moat, Barony of Granard & County Longford…” If Pakenham Beatty pays the sums of £32 & £634-5/5 to Mathew Young the deed shall be returned to him. Witnesses: George Nicholl of Lossott [Losset], Co. Cavan, Gent, Richard Ellis of the Town & Co. of Monaghan, gent, Wm Magrath & Philip Reilly of city of Dublin, Gent & Roger Kennedy of Dublin, yeoman. Registered February 19, 1747.
