August 28, 1744. Between John Beatty of the town & Co. of Monaghan of the one part & Richard Dawson of the City of Dublin, Alderman of the 2nd part. “Reciting that whereas the Rt. Honble & Rt. Rev’d John Lord Bishop of Clogher by indenture lease dated the thirtieth day of May One thousand seven hundred & forty four did demise, set to farm let unto the said John Beatty “all that & those the seven tates and an half of Aghalurcher commonly called and know by the names of the one Tate of Aghamore, the half tate Moghly, the half tate Duras [Duross], the quarter tate of Clanfelemy, the two tates of Killmore, the half tate of Derricarra the three quarters of a tate of Sheebeg, the one tate of Tonoghboy and the one tate of Fernascollogh all lying and being in the Barony of Magherstephana and County of Fermanagh together with the town lands of Killcorran, Gonnell, Kiltermon and Newry lying and being in the Barony of Clogher & County of Tyrone, for twenty one years from the first day of May aforesaid at the yearly rent of fifty three pounds…” John Beatty demised the above lands to Richard Dawson for £800 subject to a proviso of redemption. Witnesses: Rev. John Maxwell of Laikian, Co. Monaghan, Clke & Hugh Finegan, Clke to Brab Noble, Gent one of the attorneys of his Majesty’s Court of Kings Bench in Ireland. Registered November 13, 1744.
