Dublin to join in a bond for same.  Accordingly Mary Hodgson paid £100 to Wm. Betty and took his promisory note in her own name but in trust for Plt., which note is dated in Sept. last, and Plt. gave Mary Hodgson a discharge of sd debts  That Plt. having occasion to return to the country applied to sd Thos and Ralph Betty to execute a bond as aforesaid to which they readily consented and desired Plt to draw up the bond and in the meantime desired Plt to give them the sd note executed by Wm. Betty as aforesaid which Plt did give to sd Thomas and Ralph Betty; but now they refuse to execute the bond. That sd Wm. Betty is lately dead intestate and admon of his effects has been gtd to George Boyd of the city of Dublin who has possed himself of said effects to a considerable value. Now so it is Thomas and Ralph Betty combining with George Boyd and Mary Hodgson do refuse to account to Plt.  Prays for writs agst Thos Betty, Ralph Betty, Mary Hodgson & George Boyd

To Ann McCormick who has lived here about 40 years an annunity or yearly rent charge of £8 for life charged on the land of Cartrons Davidson and Cartrons Knox
To McVitty Moore my farm and lease of the lands of Aughnagore, Rinn and Cloonard, my Burgess plot in Ballnalec and a park called High Park, also my farm and lease of the lands of Cartron Davidson and Cartron Knox and all household furniture, goods, and stock of cattle whatsoever.  Also to said McVitty Moore for ever an annuity or yearly rent charge of £30 issuing out of my farm of the lands of Lissmoy.
To my nephew George Beatty my farm of the lands of Lissmoy and the lease there of for ever subject to the above annuity.

My exors to take care of Tomy Tute and put him to some trade

Residue of my fortune to McVitty Moore, and appoint George Beatty of Lissmoy and said McVitty Moore, exors.

Prerogative Cause Papers---Browne V. Beatty 1786
Deposition of Zacharias Browne of the city of Dublin, stay maker, promotent in this cause.  That Rachel Parsons late of Brockrock co. Dublin widow, dec'd, This Dept's sister by her will dated 13 May 1771 bequeathed to her trustee and exor William Dawson all her effects and directed sd trustee to pay to her daughter Mary Beatty the rent of her house in Peter street, Dublin, distinct from her husband William Beatty and should her said daughter die before her grand daughter Rachael Beatty should attain her age of 21 she gave sd house in Peter street to this Dept. That Rachel Beatty died before Rachel Parsons the testatrix and said testatrix died 24 July 1772 and Mary Beatty as this Dept. believes died in America in 1774 and her husband survived her and went abroad to America or some place beyond the seas several years ago, and has not since been heard of and is now living abroad in America or some other foreign parts beyond the seas.  That this Dept. and his only child John Brown have been obliged to institute a suit in H.M.'s Court of Exchequer against sd Wm. Dawson to call him to account for the effects of Rachel Parsons, in course of which suit the deaths of said persons have been proved, but by reason that no admon to said Mary Beatty was before the Court this Dept. could not proceed in said suit to a final hearing  Dept believes that Mary Beatty died intestate and no person has since administered to her [signed] Zacharias Browne.

Public Edict:  To all persons in Ireland----That you cite Wm. Beatty the husband of Mary Beatty formerly of the city of Dublin, but late of America dec'd, if you have access to him to cite him to appear in this cause and to show cause why admon should not be grd of the goods of said Mary Beatty to Zacharias Browne of the city of Dublin, stay maker

Zacharias Browne swears that on 11 January 1786 he exhibited the annexed mandate or Public edict by affixing same on one of the pillars of the Royal Exchange, Dublin at the usual time that merchants resort there [signed:] Zacharias Browne. Sworn 23  January 1786 before S. Radcliffe.
