Witness: Adam Betty. Thomas Prophet. John Arsdell (his mark). Probate gtd. 1 March 1724 – 5 to Marmaduke Reed the Exe'r.

52. Will of John Veaitch of Gardenardren, Co. Cavan, Gent., dated 8 Aug. 1723.
Claud Beatty a witness. [Vide Veach notes]. Testator appoints James Lang of Derreskit his cousin to be one of the exe'r.

81. [Following is a copy from the original will:]

In the name of God Amen.
I Adam Beatty of Aughweenag in ye County of Cavan being sick and weak of Body, but of Good and perfect memory thanks be to Allmighty God Do make this my Last Will and Testament in manner & form following.
Item I bequeath my soul in the hands of God my Maker and my Body to Be Buried in Christian Burial at ye Discretion of Exe'rs hereafter mentioned shall think fit.
2dly all my worldly substance of what kind so ever shall divide as followeth.
Item I Bequeath the Lare of Killsob to my eldest son Veatch Beatty.
The remaining part of my substance I order to be equally divided betwixt my wife Jean and my daughter Mary and my son John and my daughter Margaret.
3rdly in case any of these my children should die before they come of age that then and in that case their part shall be equally divided amongst the survivors.
Lastly I appoint my dear wife Jane Betty, James Thornton, Veaitch Betty, William Creag the Executors to this my last will and testament this 10th day of March 1725.

85. Will of John Beatty of Corr, Co. Cavan, gent.
In consideration of the real love and affection I have for my youngest son Edmond Beatty and of the great care he hath taken of me and my business these several years past “I myself being infirm in my limbs and not able to do myself any service.” I bequeath to the sd Edmond Beatty & his heirs the whole lands of Corr and appurtenances for ever, and failing the heirs of said Edmund Beatty, same to my eldest son Claud Beatty and his heirs, failing him to my son John Beatty and his heirs. I will that for the better advancement of my son Edmond Beatty that when he shall marry he to have power to settle on his wife £10 per annum for her life charged on s'd lands of Corr, and also bequeath to said son Edmund Beatty all my personal estate, goods and chattels whatsoever, and appoint him sole heir and exe'r.
