Interrogations on behalf of Plt.: -- Did you know Aungier Gorden of Robinstown, Co., Longford, Esq. and the Hon. James Macartney Esq., one of the petitioners of the Court of Common Pleas, and when did they respectively die? Do you know the towns and lands of Toneen, Lisnabararty, Robinstown, Aghabrack. Ballamorris, Lisnenant, Higginstown, Tenephople [Tennyphobble], Toberphellin, Kinkilly, Ballnecrosses, Achaboy, Kilbridge and tithes thereof, all situate in Co. Longford, and by what lease was Aungier Gordon possessed of said lands from 1712 to 1722. Did Aungier Gordon in 1712 mortgage the lands of Toreen and Lisnabararty to John Barrot of the city of Dublin, engraver, with a provisoe of redemption. Did Aungier Gordon in 1718 mortgage to Anthony Sheppard, Esq., the towns and lands herein mentioned in the first inventory. Do you know whether Aungier Gordon agreed in 1722 for the absolute sale of the estate and equity of redemption to James Macartney the elder for said premises of Robinstown, Aghabrock, Ballamorris, Lisnenant, Higginstown, and Tenephople in the second inventory mentioned and to whom since the death of Aungier Gorden does the remainder of the purchase money thereof remain due; and did said James Macartney by virtue of said sale enter into possession of said lands? Did Aungier Gordon make a will, and did he appoint Nicholas Cummins and Claud Beaty exrs who proved said will which is dated 5 Nov. 1722. Are you a witness to sd will. How many children did Aungier Gordon leave and who are alive & who are dead, and did he leave his eldest son John Gordon a sum of money? Did Aungier Gordon die indebted to any person on a bond? Was Francis Wilson agent for said lands. Who has possessed themselves of the household goods and assets of Aungier Gordon, and how were same disposed. Was there upon any occasion a service done to express his friendship by Aungier Gorden, and were not such promises renewed after the death of Aungier Gordon to the Deft. Anne McCally; and did such person advise Ann McCally to prevail with Claud Beaty not to intermeddle in the executorship of Aungier's Gordon's will and to renounce same. Was Claud Beaty
