And farm stock worth £90. That Defts Robert and Ann Beatty widow of said John Beatty possessed themselves of Springtown and Tromroe. That Springtown is now worth £100 a year profit [signed] James Brock.
Depositions on behalf of Defts., taken at the house of Laurence Kierman at Abbeylarra, Co. Longford, on Tuesday 23 Oct. 1744.
William Thompson of Clonfin, Co. Longford, gent. aged 40 [Corroborates his former evidence, with the addition:] That lands have greatly risen in value since the death of John Beatty, by the difference of the times, but the more so by the expensive improvements made thereon (Springtown) by Deft. Robert Beatty, who has occupied same for the most part of the time since John Beatty died. Know Anne Beatty alias Brock who lived at Springtown and was entertained by Deft. Robert Beatty and his mother until the time of the report of said Anne's marriage to Plt. John Brock. [Signed] Will: Thompson.
Thomas Burrows of Killiconan, Co. Cavan, gent., aged 40. Knows Plt for 38 years. Knows Defts, except the minors for 20 years, and knows the minors for 3 years. (Corroborates his former evidence) [Signed] Thos. Burrows.
Robert Beatty of Springtown, Co. Longford, gent., aged 38. Knows the Plt. for 10 years. Knows the Defts, except the minors, for 20 years and knows the minors for 2 years. Knew John Beatty dec'd, for 15 years before his death in May 1729. (Corroborates his former evidence). Says that he has occupied Springtown since the death of John Beatty, except for two years after the death of said John Beatty, during which two years said lands were possessed by Defts Pakenham and Charles Beatty as administrators of said John Beatty, dec'd. That the lands of Tromroe, Co. Westmeath are now in possession of Thomas Pakenham, Esq. and have been since 1733 or 1734, as same are part of said Pakenham's estate. That Ann Beatty alias Brock lived with this Dep't one and a half years after the death of her father, but whether before her marriage to Plt. or not this Dep't cannot say, but that her entertainment for that time cost this Dept. £15 [signed] Robert Beatty.

Do you know the Plt. and Defts and for how long? Do you know the lands of Tullycallrick, Co. Fermanagh, and was Plt. seized there of in fee farm under Henry Blenerhassett, Esq., and to whom also about the year 1686 did he pay his rent? Was Plt. in arrear of rent to Henry Blenerhassett at the time of his death, and what was the amount thereof? Was Deft. John Betty agent for said Henry Blenerhassett or his widow? Do you know that Deft. John Betty entreated Plt, to convey his title to said lands to him in order to secure the arrear of rent then due by Plt. to Henry Blenerhassett and for what consideration? Did Deft. John Betty at time of such conveyance promise to assign said lands to Plt. on redemption of said arrears being £10? Do you know that Deft. John Betty
