           Plantiff John Betty, yeoman, sheweth,
           That in 1702 Plt. having a mind to farm the hearth money of co. Roscommon for that year, and John Coyne, gent at the request of one Robert Hassard promised to become bound for Plt and sd Robert Hassard for the performance of whatever contract Plt and Hassard should make with H.M.'s Commissioners of the Revenue for the hearth money aforesaid.  That thereupon Plt took out a Commission from sd Commissioners to collect the hearth money for co. Roscommon for one year in the joint name of Plt.  John Coyne and Robert Hassard, who all three became jointly and severally bound in several
