which I hold under Mr. Foord in co. Dublin, and all my other substance, to hold upon the following trusts, viz: one third to the use of my brother George Burleigh of Ardmagh, co. Ardmagh, for life; one third to use of my sister Elinor Biggham for life, and her receipt to be sufficient irrespective of her husband; and one third to the use of my natural son called Langford Burleigh begotten by Mary Redding; and that after the death of my said brother George and sister Ellinor Biggham their shares to go to my said son Langford Burleigh; failing him and his heirs, same to descend [a paragraph relating to “my relative Arthur Burleigh” erased by testator, comparison with original will might say who he was. PC] to the issue female of my brother-in-law Cook.
I order that upon the death of my brother George and my sister Biggham and before my son Langford Burleigh shall inherit their portions said trustees shall out of profits of said lands pay to Sarah Biggham daughter of my sister Elinor £40, and to the two now youngest children of said Elinor £20 each, and should either of the last two children die under 21 or unm. said legacy to survivor of them, and should both die same to my niece Sarah Biggham, and if Sarah Biggham die under 21 and unm. same to go to all the children of my sister Elinor Biggham.
My exrs to call in the monies due to me by mortgage on the lands of Killcavey, co. Down, and out of same to pay my debts.
To my sister Ann Holland £65 and her own receipt to be sufficient.
To my friend Mary Redding for her care of me and in full of all wages £30.
To my cousin Dorothy Burleigh £5.
To William Burleigh the younger son of William Burleigh the elder £5 for mourning.
To my sister Mary Cooke my diamond ring.
To the six officers belonging to the Revenue under my inspection by way of token of my regard a guinea each for a ring [This item is crossed out.—LTB]
To my said brother George Burleigh and sister Elinor Biggham and to said Mary Redding, all my household furniture in Arbor Hill, equally. [This item is crossed out.—LTB]
Should any of the aforesaid legatees disturb my son in the legacies bequeath to him, such disturber to forfeit.
I desire to be buried in the church of Cavan or in St. Paul, Dublin.
I appoint said Capt. Hercules Courtney, Wm Burleigh, and James Kendall, to be exrs and leave to each of them £5 for mourning.
