Kingsborough until he died in 1755 without ____ having made his will and devised his estate to his youngest brother Henry King, Esq, and leaving Edward, who upon his Lordship’s death became Sir Edward King and is now the Rt. Hon. Edward Earl Kingston his next brother and heir-at-law. That some disputes arose between Edward King and Henry King concerning the validity of Lord Kingsborough’s will, but they eventually came to an agreement among themselves which was confirmed by Act of Parliament, whereby Sir Edward King became intitled to the rents and reversion of Carkfree. That on the death of Lord Kingsborough, Plt. Frances was thereupon taken into her father’s house by Catherine her mother where Plt. remarried doing all manner of service work for her said mother till Plt. Frances in January 1765 married Plt. Francis Beatty. That Catherine Rowlett widow of Thomas Rowlett on the death of John Rowlett the Admor of Thomas Rowlett, deced, without any right entered into possession of the lands of Carkfree, receiving all the profits thereof and has the original lease and still retains same to the annual value of £30 and Plts’ share thereof now amounts to £200 and upwards. That since Plts have married they have applied to Catherine Rowlett the widow for seizure of their proportion of Carkfree and an account of their share and proportion of the profits thereof from the time Catherine became seized and applications have been made on behalf of Plts to the same purpose to Catherine by Edward Earl of Kingston, but she absolutely refuses to come to any agreement. Now so it is Cathetine Rowlett combining with said Anne Rowlett, and Mary Rowlett, and with Louisa Frances Rowlett the daughter and heir-at-law of John Rowlett of Dublin, deced, and with Robert Brown, Esq, the exor of Mathew Ormsby one of Thomas Rowlett’s exors who is long since dead, and with Owen Croghan, and with John Conmee, Esq., the present tenant on Carkfree with intent to defraud Plts will not come to any agreement. The Defts, inter alia, to answer what suit was instituted against Frances Louisa Rowlett on account of the assets of Thomas Rowlett which her father John Rowlett had possessed himself of. Prays that writs may be gtd agst Catherine Rowlett, Anne Rowlett, Mary Rowlett, Louisa Frances Rowlett, Robert Brown, exor of Mathew Ormsby, Owen Croghan, and John Conmee to answer in the premises.          Entered 22 June 1769.

     Plaintiff William Groghegan of the city of Dublin, gent., sheweth. That Plt. in March 1690 [-1] and some time before was an officer in the army of the late King James and was under the command of Col. Charles Groghegan his superior officer to forage on the frontiers of the Irish quarters in co. Westmeath it being a time of open hostility. That one John Betty, as Plt. has since heard, doth pretend that some of the soldiers commanded by said Col. Charles Groghegan took some goods
